Most banking institutions are driven by greed

Saint Ed

When you see an institution housed in a large modern building worth millions, they are ususally profit driven. And once you experience some of the snares they have set in doing business with you, you should come to the conclusion they are greed driven and should be on your guard at all times.

It seems the greed driven banks of American have gathered more wealth than the more honest service oriented banks and have bought them out. We see this in other areas of business in America where good products have been driven out by inferior products. Quality of life in America is degenerative once you see this taking place.

The degenerative nature of banking in America was first brought into the Light when Home Savings was bought out by Washington Mutual. Home Savings did not charge for cashiers checks. To pacify the customers Washington Mutual hoped to retain at the Home Savings branch, they offered free cashiers checks for the former customers while charging exhorbitant prices for them with their new clients.

The cost of printing a cashier's check along with handling the administration of it is so small it isn't even worth mentioning. Eventually former customers were required to pay excessive fees for cashier's checks once Washington Mutual was confident they had enough new customers to replace the old if the latter became disinchanted with their banking service.

Was Washington Mutual to be trusted? Absolutely not! They participated in providing America with degenerative banking in place of concern for clients and exercised so much greed in the madness of bad mortgage loans, they were bought out by Chase.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS CHARGES:

Another aspect of degenerative banking services in America is the present five dollar per mail item return without a forwarding address. This charge is not made clear to banking clients so it can manifest as an expensive surprise by the time the leak in your accounts is discovered.

Everyone who banks is familiar with the mailers that show the monthly activity on your accounts. They are hard to read and of no real use to many customers because their format is convenient only to the banks. As a result, many customers open them to glance at them and throw them out.

When a customer moves, they do not think it very important to provide the bank with a change of address; nor do they miss the bank mailers which many think of as junk mail. Mail they have no use for.

But as soon as the bank mailer is returned to most banking institutions, a five dollar charge is deducted from your account for not providing the bank with a change of address.

To make matters worse, most bank tellers are not trained to warn you of the charges while asking for your new address. So the charges can build up into something significant depending on your financial worth.

The rich will not miss thirty to forty dollars in charges before the matter is straightened out, but the poor who are having trouble meeting their expenses will miss it; and when they bring the matter up with the bank brass they will find them immovable in many cases.

Banks in America have degenerated into greedy dogs looking for ways to break into your account and get themselves a bone to take back to their dog house. The institution you have entrusted your money to is not trustworthy. They are in the business of enriching themselves, not you.

HYPOCRISY IN DOING BUSINESS WITH ILLEGAL MIGRANTS:

Here is a conversation that might take place at the Bank of America:

Customer: Yes, I want to cancel my account. I don't want to do business with you any longer. The Bank: Why?

Customer: You're giving credit to illegal immigrants and I don't think it's right. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

The Bank: Well, Mr. Customer, we don't want to see you do that, but we can't stop you. I'll help you close the account. What is your account number?

Customer: (gives account number)

The Bank: For security purposes and for your protection, can you please give me the last four digits of your social security number?

Customer: No.

The Bank: Mr. Customer, I need to verify your information, but in order to help you, I'll need verification of who you are.

Customer: Why should I give you my social security number? The reason I'm closing my account is that your bank is issuing credit cards to illegal immigrants who don't have social security numbers. You are targeting that audience and want their business. Let's say I'm an illegal immigrant and you've given me a credit card. I have a question about it and call for assistance. You wouldn't be asking me for a Social Security number, would you?

The Bank: No sir, I wouldn't.

Customer: Why not?

The Bank: Because you would have pressed '2' to speak in Spanish. We don't ask for that information when calling in on the Spanish line.

We are not attempting to take sides in the migration issue, what we are pointing out is the double standard at the banks. American citizens have to answer the social security question but non citizens do not.

The banks have become two faced. They provide one service for the rich, another for the poor. Once service for American citizens, another for non American citizens.

You ought not to entrust too much of your worth into their keeping.

BANK CLOSURES IN THE GREAT DEPRESSION:

People in any nation have a very short memory. Although our history books contain stories of the American tragedy known as the great Depression, few Americans are conscious of the part bank closures played in bringing the nation's economy into paralysis.

Banks made speculative investments in the stock market during the 1920s. When the market crashed in 1929, bank depositors worried that the banks would go bankrupt and rushed to withdraw their deposits in cash. These runs on banks ensured that many banks failed.

In this photograph we see depositors besieging Merchants Bank in Passaic, New Jersey in an attempt to get their money out of danger.

Under President Roosevelt, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation was created to insure deposits up to $100,000 and promote stability in the banking industry. But economies are like the Titanic. Only God Almighty can see the icebergs in the fog threatening a nation's economy.

Banks have failed us in the past. They are capable of failing us again.

SEIZURE OF YOUR MONEY BY THE GOVERNMENT:

The government has proved ruthless in seizing money from bank accounts, and the banks respect for "LEVIES" issued by the government is disheartening. In turning money over to the government instead of referring them to depositers, banks have made themselves friends of a government often out of control in oppressing the people.

In many instances, the poor have no legal defense against government judgments.

Garnishing of paychecks is a common practice now by government agencies such as the District Attorney's office issuing judgments rubber stamped by the courts. Just as soon as a payroll check is issued now, judments are deducted from them.

Money disappears from bank accounts without a real due process of law and the poor who are victimized are helpless legally to overturn it.

The stories are endless. It is better to have nothing to do with government agencies or you are likely to find a bill in the mail which you will pay or your money at the bank will not only be seized, your income will be garnished. No matter how serious your crisis at home, avoid calling the police or any government agency. Look for the Lord to help you in some other way.

Government agencies have become bleeders of the people financially.

Police seize vehicles, houses, businesses and bank accounts from supposed drug dealers and users without necessarily proving their case in a court of law. They seize the means the accused needs to defend themselves by law and leave them helpless. Instead of being innocent until proven guilty, they are guilty until proven innocent. The law has been turned inside out and the banks are aligned with the government against you the people.

The IRS seizes tax returns regularly now. You can have a small IOU of several hundred dollars sitting around for years in your IRS account with their exhorbitant interest rates that ought to be illegal, grow into thousands of dollars.

The IRS does not go out of its way to communicate your growing IOU, they simply ambush your tax returns. What you get from them is a receipt for the money they take.

When levies are issued against your money in the bank, they go out to all of the banks like a fisherman's net. If you have no money in dozens of other banks, they ignore the order; but if you have money in a bank, it will be seized without your having any chance to defend against it.

If there was one bank in America that would say no to government agencies, they would prosper. The word would get out that your money is safe with them.

As it is, your money is not safe in any bank.
