The last person you want to trust is a lawyer. There is not only an inclination on their part to think they are above the law, judges and lawyers tend to stick together. When a lawyer is sued by a non lawyer, chances are the judge who is also a lawyer will rule in favor of the defendent lawyer.

Make sure your deal with a lawyer is understood so you do not find yourself suing to get money from them.
Lawyers are full of more tricks than can be named here. They sell clients for a price to other lawyers. They sell out their own clients for a price to the highest bidder. They receive the settlements and do not always cut the pie up fair and square.
Many a lawyer is only interested in the fee they are charging to represent you in court. Getting them to research your case and come in prepared is another matter completely. Big money clients may get full service, but many clients find out too late they were represented by a lawyer who did not do their homework.
Lawyers tend to represent people in a locality. If your case transcends from one county to another county or one State to another State, watch out. You may find you really don't have a lawyer even though you have hired one. A lawyer may take your case to get your money, and file in your behalf locally when your case really should have been heard in another county. Best thing to do is make sure the lawyer is working in the locale where the case needs to be tried.

Bottem line. Don't trust lawyers. They generally tend to be afflicted with "the love of money (which is)
the root of all evil." There are a few lawyers who have the quality of justice and life as their priority,
but the wisdom to bring it about it most difficult to find to win it!
