Abraham, a holy Prophet had two wives. Jacob, a holy Prophet had two wives. In both cases there were extenuating circumstances. In both cases they would have preferred one wife. But what they did, they did out of faith unto the Lord.
As Israel grew into a nation, polygamy was practiced by the dynasty of David to insure an heir for the throne. It was not the common practice of Israel. So it is safe to say polygamy is not to be the common Biblical practice of the Church in America, but there are exceptions to every rule.
The American public looks down on polygamy presuming it is sinful, and having passed laws against it; they thought to undo the polygamy of the Mormons in Utah but as you might imagine, families are not going to separate because some government lawgiver decided all polygamy was wrong because some abused it. If you are listening carefully you can hear them debating it around their fireplaces saying one to another, "Two partner marriages are abused and they haven't outlawed them. They are coming after us because of our religion. This is religious persecution."
Thats it folks! Its time for discernment. The Church sleeps while sinners in government use the Might of government institutions to go after the people of God whereever they can.
Individuals have a recognized constitutional right to engage in any form of consensual sexual relationship with any number of partners. Thus, a person can live with multiple partners and even sire children from different partners so long as they do not marry. Yet, when they marry, the government jails them saying in effect its okay to live with multiple partners in sin; but for living with multiple partners in holy matrimony responsibly before God, we will arrest you, put you in jail, take your children from you; and when we let you out - government social workers will supervise the unbringing of your children and your support of them for the rest of your life. Folks, if you don't see persecution in one of its vile forms, take a closer look.
Our justice system releases criminals every day and criminalizes responsible individuals. That is why you need to build your own private Shield of Faith in the Lord so you can stand in the evil day.
Americans throughout the Country can have multiple husbands or multiple wives so long as they are consecutive, not concurrent. There are marriages and divorces sometimes in quick succession yet MARRYING MULTIPLE WIVES responsibly can put a God fearing husband in State prison.
There is no Federal Law against Polygamy to my present knowledge, However, in its 1878 opinion in Reynolds vs. United States, the Supreme Court refused to recognize polygamy as a legitimate religious practice, dismissing it in racist and anti-Mormon terms as "almost exclusively a feature of the life of Asiatic and African people." In later decisions, the court declared polygamy to be "a blot on our civilization" and compared it to human sacrifice and "a return to barbarism." Most tellingly, the court found that the practice is "contrary to the spirit of Christianity and of the civilization which Christianity has produced in the Western World."
Those were fine words for THE SELF RIGHTEOUS, but separation of Church and State requires big government to stay out of our business; and unfortunately we, the Church, have not had the courage to stand up for our rights particularly in our corporate strength where our power is deposited.
Since Christians are obligated to obey the laws of the land, it is now sinful ordinarily to enter into a polygamous relationship where one man has more than one wife; and the law usually prosecutes those who do it, but the laws were made while MULTIPLE MOTHER FAMILIES already existed and no Mother in her right mind is going to obey an unjust law. So I repeat, it is unlawful for you to enter into polygamy just as it was unjust to require MULTIPLE MOTHER FAMILIES to separate from their loving families.
But traditions die hard. In some parts of Utah, polygamy is as natural to them as one man and one wife are to you. Children born of polygamous families often times see nothing sinful about a man marrying more than one wife.
The Scriptural rule is: "ANYTHING NOT OF FAITH IS SIN." In other words, if they have the faith to believe their polygamous marriage is acceptable to God; the LORD will accept it.
It is written: "GRACE REIGNS BY FAITH." When the grace of God reigns over a matter, the individuals are free from judgement regarding it.
Much to the surprise of many who have been exposed only to one man one woman marriages, a healthy functional polygamous marriage is possible.
The author is not advocating polygamy. But you should avoid rushing to judgment in regard to others who are committed to MULTIPLE WIVES AND MOTHER marriages. It is simply a bigger and sometimes better corporate entity with a bigger team, income is easier to come by; chores are less of a strain, there is more people power to do build homes and make repairs, and there is always someone to watch the children. So please don't mock what seems strange to you.
There are functional MULTIPLE PARENT marriages.
It would be a terrible tragedy to break up a healthy functioning polygamous marriage just as much as it would be a terrible tragedy to break up a healthy functioning one man one wife marriage.
Polygamy has gotten a bad name from Joseph Smith on down to Warren Jeffs who reportedly had as many as 180 wives. Warren Jeffs violated the law as a church leader, forcing young underage girls into marriages against their will. Some of his other sins we will not address here. But if you want to know why violating the will of young girls is wrong and sinful, it is God who works in us "to will and to do." So Jeffs in power madness disrespected God's will in his flock while pretending to be a prophet.
Late in 2007, Warren Jeffs confessed publicly in the press to being "a wicked man." He also renounced his position as head of the church and church prophet, and by doing so; he admitted the office of prophet was just a job title he could resign. Folks, if there ever is a prophet in the land, it will not be a job title he takes to glorify his position but work in the making God will do through him, and he will not be able to resign from it.
When have you ever read of a Bible Prophet telling his constituency he's a Prophet? And when have you ever read of a Bible Prophet quitting his job? Jeffs like the big shots of the Mormon Church in Salt Lake City have not read their Bible with understanding.
What you need to discern before judging anyone involved in polygamy is, whether or not their marriage is actually functioning in a healthy way; and this will not be easy for you to do. That is one reason why you are admonished to avoid setting yourself up as the judge of others.
God Almighty is quite capable of judging the world.
A man with several wives who are free to come and go like the wives in one man one woman marriages, is not necessarily in possession of a harem where sexual promiscuity reigns. If they are a normal polygamouos marriage, he has a bigger job than a man with one wife. He has three women to please. Three women who are most likely friends if it is a healthy marriage. Three women who could make things hard for him if he gets out of hand.
In a one man one wife marriage, there is no-one there to witness an out of control spouse. But in a polygamous marriage, there are more witnesses; and therefore potentially more accountability. So the two kinds of marriages are not the same by nature. There are many differences.
Instead of judging all polygamous marriages because of a few transgressors, how about letting them work it out with the government.
What the American government needs to do, is "decriminalize" polygamy. We know they won't do it, but they can be stopped from knocking on a man's door where he is known to be living with MULTIPLE MOTHERS without a Church-State marriage telling him he is married according to government common laws. Think about it! Government officials arrive in government vehicles financed by your tax dollars, to marry you in total disregard of the separation of Church and State, and after criminalizing you - they destroy your very orderly family and put you in jail, and bring you entire family into bondage for the rest of their lives?
Open your eyes wide now to see the truth in the matter. Multiple wives are unnatural to you, but to those raised with multiple mothers, just one mother is unnatural to them. Do you want an immoral government bent on legalizing sodomite marriages to continue to rip apart functionally responsible families illegally? That's what they are doing!
They are persecuting us! The body of Christ. If we let them persecute the foot in Texas and the thigh in Utah, how much longer will it be before they persecute the hand in California?

In it you will hear multiple testimonies regarding the polygamy doctrine of the original Mormons, and the modern day split between the mainline Mormons with their capital in Salt Lake City, Utah and the Fundalmentalists led by Warren Jeffs before his fall into disgrace. The government of the United States leaned hard on the Mormons to break them of polygamy and the mainline Mormons began to give it up in word and finally in deed, but Fundalmentalist Mormons continued on as polygamists.
Don't let their heretical doctrines confuse you regarding THE MORAL LEGALITY OF PLURALISTIC MARRIAGE. If polygamy is practiced with heretical doctrine or no doctrine at all, it is still the religious right of the individuals to enter in to it just as much as it is the right of sinners to live with more than one woman in sin without marriage.
We can clearly see God did not recommend PLURALISTIC MARRIAGE when he created Adam and Eve rather than Adam and Eves.
The Mormon heresy of Celestial Marriage says they can only become gods through PLURALISTIC MARRIAGE. They believe plural wives are necessary to population the worlds they are going to rule over. Their justification of PLURAL MARRIAGES is wrong, but they still have the right to do it by faith even though the law of an immoral government outlaws it.
God Almighty has no intention of making you a god. Christ wants to live through us when we are dead to self so the Elijah's and the Moses seem like gods in the flesh of man, but it was Christ in them who is God.
Adam and Eve wanted to be gods. The Mormons want to become gods. The Christian Church in America has come to believe they can become little gods like their egotistical religious leaders flying around in multi-million dollar jets. But we are told in holy Scripture God will never give his glory to another nor will we ever become immortal.
The confusion religious people are suffering from is fairly easy to understand if you will listen carefully. In holy Communion (not in the rituals of the Christian or Catholic churches,) but in their separated unto God lives; is where they discreetly enter into Oneness with the Spirit of Christ, and in doing so they "put on Jesus Christ" temporarily until their vigil is over, and they must rest like you do, sleeping to rest their bodies. In putting on Jesus Christ, the Saints temporarily put on He who is immortal. In other words, "this mortal puts on immortality" and "this corruption puts on incorruption" temporarily so they fulfill the meaning of the text promising that "he who walks in the Spirit will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh." The holy Spirit of Christ is the anointing we must all learn to put on while so few believers know anything at all about it, it will have to be learned and practiced to Perfection in The Thousand Year Reign of Christ.
So there are Scriptures where it appears we, the Church will be immortal; but those are misunderstood as was just explained to you. Now listen to Saint Paul writing to Timothy saying in reference to the Lord, Who "in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and ONLY Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; WHO ONLY HAS IMMORTALITY, dwelling in the Light which no man can approach unto; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen." (1 Timothy 6;15/16) ONLY Jesus has immortality and therefore you and I cannot have it, but we can become "vessels suitable for the Master's use" and walk in Him while He walks in us, and in this way we can experience His immortality.
Back to the subject of polygamy now that we know there is no possibility whatsoever of the Mormon heresy of their becoming gods can ever be true. So all of their manmade doctrines have succeeded only in making them miserable.
Listen to the testimonies of women experienced in PLURALISTIC MARRIAGES and you will hear how hard it was for them with men who were seldom home, and who lacked the love of God in their hearts to minister to their wives.
Joseph Smith was a false Prophet. So every Mormon is following a False Prophet and some version of his false doctrines and heresies.
Smith was A MASS ADULTERER. He married multiple wives to himself who were already married to others.
Why Mormons are blind to him is hard to comprehend. But its not your duty to judge others while you yourself are not fully committed to die to yourself to live in Christ. It is only by faith we can please God. Let God decide who is saved by their faith rather than by your doctrine, for whether you know it or not, the Christian and Catholic churches in America are filled to overflowing with their own false doctrines.

will tell you how the Mormon churches are not Jesus
centered. They are Joseph Smith centered, so their practices
bring them misery.
You have already read the instruction the Lord has given me for you to understand there are parents in PLURALISTIC MARRIAGES who really care for their children and are raising them to the best of their abilities, often times much much better than the average American Mother; yet these Mothers had their children torn from them in Texas because of the wickedness of Warren Jeffs and a desire among sinners in government to persecute people of faith.
In doing so, the very immoral American government said "Forget separation of Church of State, we will say who can raise their children in whatever way pleases us." This is where so many participants in the freedom of religon are seriously mistaken in judging these mothers to be evildoers.
Please do not harden your heart against them as you see those making postings on You Tube doing. When the freedom of religion of these Mothers was raped by the Texas government, your freedom of religion was raped and you need to know RESPONSIBLE PLURALISTIC MARRIAGE is acceptable to God by faith particularly for those raised in it, so it is the only way of life they know.
Your first duty is to refrain from judging them lest you be judged. Your second duty is to find
out what you can do to stop the persecution of these Mothers. And if the above film of their
sorrows did not cause you to weep with those who weep, you have not yet the heart of Jesus
beating in your chest and need to get in the Word of God and focus on obeying Him absolutely.
