Here is the testimony of a driver in California who was cited for driving a vehicle with a brake light out. The fix it ticket said it would become an arrest warrant were it not taken care of, but the appratus for taking care of it is the government.
The light bulb cost under three dollars to replace and took all of two minutes. The officer never asked the driver if he had the light bulb on board his vehicle. Instead the officer falsely accused the driver of trying to get away from him.
The cost of processing the paperwork was fifteen dollars at the city police station, and another ten dollars at the county court house where the driver had to wrestle the clerk for a proper receipt proving he paid the fix it ticket.
Those fix it tickets have been known to go to warrant and cost the innocent serious fines and jail time for government incompetency.
How is it a three dollar brake light can be multiplied into so much cost and potential for snares?

Here we have a case of police empowering police again. The people
have not been consulted with the implementation of arrest warrants
for fix it tickets. It is something the police have done to
supplement their treasury and their powers over the public.
